Consumer protection calls for intensified regulatory tours of the markets

The Consumer Protection Association called on all regulatory authorities to intensify their inspection tours of the markets before Eid Al-Fitr, especially shops selling clothes and sweets, which are considered among the basic requirements for receiving Eid Al-Fitr.
And in a statement from the official of the media office, Maher Hajjat, to “compassThe association appealed to merchants to take into account the difficult living conditions of citizens and to be satisfied with moderate and acceptable profit margins.
The association gave advice to Jordanian families, inviting them to request the purchase invoice from the stores and keep it for use in case the family wanted to replace some of the goods that it had purchased or was exposed to some fraud in the type of goods, which preserves its right.
She also called on citizens to be careful when buying Eid Al-Fitr necessities, specifically clothes, by making tours in the markets before buying to find out the real prices so that they are not exposed to exploitation.
The markets are witnessing an active purchasing movement, with the advent of Eid Al-Fitr, as families flocked to buy Eid clothes and sweets.
And the “Consumer Protection” called on householders to be careful when purchasing the requirements of Eid Al-Fitr, specifically clothes, by making tours in the markets before buying to find out the real prices so that they are not exposed to exploitation.
Housewives also called for the need to manufacture Eid sweets, especially those made at home, in order to reduce the financial burdens on their families in light of the increasing living requirements that strain the family’s income.
A number of merchants complained about the state of stagnation in the markets despite the approaching holiday, pointing out that many families refrained from buying new clothes, due to the difficult economic conditions.
The Association of Banks refused to postpone their installments for the month of April, in a decision described by merchants as harming the purchasing power of the citizen and preventing him from purchasing many Eid necessities.
