Yesterday, Sunday, the amending Law of Labor Law No. (10) of 2023 was issued in the Official Gazette, and it shall be read with Law No. (8) of 1996 in the original law and the amendment of one law, and it shall come into effect two years after the date of its publication.
The amendment of Article (10) of the original law includes deleting the phrase (or licensing the establishment of offices for this purpose) mentioned at the end of Paragraph (a) thereof and replacing it with the phrase (or contracting with any entity inside or outside the Kingdom according to a regulation issued for this purpose or licensing the following: Companies specializing in a specific activity employ Jordanian workers working for them and contract with employers to provide them with these workers, in addition to companies whose mediating goals are to employ Jordanians inside and outside the Kingdom.
It also includes canceling the text of Paragraph (C) thereof and replacing it with the following text (C- Regulating all affairs related to the employment of workers and their recruitment or employment stipulated in Paragraphs (A) and (B) of this Article, including determining the terms, conditions, procedures, fees and licensing of companies and offices. Renewal of its license, cases of cancellation, management and supervision of the Ministry, and determination of fees for services provided by these companies and offices in accordance with regulations issued for this purpose.
