Representative Adnan Mashuqa warned of the dangers of dealing and trading encrypted electronic currencies.

In a question addressed to the government, the deputy said that these currencies pose a great danger to the money of individuals, and a hemorrhage of cash from the hands of citizens, asking, “What is the role of the Central Bank in preventing the trading of cryptocurrencies?”

The deputy added, “Are there any penalties imposed on cryptocurrency trading? While he asked whether the Central Bank has statistics on the volume of Jordanians trading in cryptocurrencies?

Mashuqa asked about the reason for the lack of educational programs and campaigns that show the dangers of trading in these currencies.
