Nearly 20,000 Jordanians have performed Umrah rituals since the beginning of Ramadan, according to Issam Al-Shaer, a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Travel and Tourism Agents, on Saturday, in a figure that was less than expected.

Al-Shaer said, “15-20,000 people have performed Umrah since the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan.” And the poet had expected, before this month, that about 50,000 Jordanians would perform the rituals of Umrah.

During the past year, the number of pilgrims reached nearly 45,000, while the year 2021 recorded about 30,000 pilgrims, according to the figures of the Association of Tourism and Travel Agents.

It is likely that the cost of Umrah by land will range from 300 to 320 dinars per person, while it will arrive by air from 525 to 575 dinars, noting that this number may increase depending on the location and class of the booked hotel, along with other costs.

Umrah, which can be performed at any time throughout the year, attracts millions of Muslims from all over the world every year.
