The Ministry of Water and Irrigation said that the volume of rainfall since the beginning of the season rose to 117.2% from the general annual rate of 8.1 billion cubic meters annually, constituting 147.5% of the total rainfall last year.

The ministry added, in a press statement, on Friday, that the highest percentage of rainfall was recorded during the past 24 hours in Amman / Al-Bayader, with 29.2 mm during the past 24 hours, noting that the percentage of precipitation for the same period last year was 79.1% of the general average. .

The ministry indicated that the dams entered 4.5 million cubic meters within 24 hours, concentrated in the King Talal Dam with 3.5 million cubic meters (its storage is 52.5 million cubic meters, or 78%), raising the storage in all dams to about 126 million cubic meters in them, or 45% of the volume. Its total capacity is 280,759 million cubic meters.

And it indicated that the average rainfall, according to its stations during the past 24 hours, was recorded in the capital, Amman, at an average of 17.8 mm, Al Balqa 18 mm, Madaba 11.1 mm, Zarqa 6.9 mm, Jerash 13.2 mm, Mafraq 7.3 mm, Irbid 7.5 mm, Ajloun 16.1 mm, Karak 0.4 mm, while Tafilah, Maan and Aqaba did not record any precipitation during the past 24 hours.
