The Director of the Meteorological Department, Raed Al-Khattab, said that tomorrow, Wednesday, will be a winter day par excellence, stressing the importance of adhering to warnings during the weather situation that the Kingdom will witness.

And he mentioned in a statement, this evening, Tuesday, that the Kingdom will be on Wednesday and Thursday under the influence of an extension of an air depression that extends through the upper layers of the atmosphere, accompanied by a cold and moist air mass that lowers temperatures, and leads to precipitation in most regions of the Kingdom, especially the western regions of all the Kingdom ( north, central and southwest of the Kingdom).

He expected heavy rainfall at intervals with the occurrence of thunder and hail, and also expected the formation of torrential rains in valleys and low areas, including the Dead Sea region, and that the situation would continue until Thursday evening and its effect would recede after that.

Al-Khattab explained that the expected precipitation tomorrow, Wednesday, on the western highlands of the Kingdom, includes the northern, central, and southwestern regions, and may form with heavy rainfalls, torrential rains, naturally heading to low areas such as the Jordan Valley in general.

Precipitation is limited, according to Al-Khattab, on Thursday, to focus on the northern and central regions of the Kingdom.

And he warned of torrents that might rush suddenly from one region to another or from heights to low areas, calling on citizens not to risk crossing valleys while the torrent is flowing in them and to stay away from them, as these torrents contain different bodies that increase the danger of crossing them.
