An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army stated that at exactly 7:30 pm yesterday, Monday, a military vehicle was swept away by torrents during the official duty of one of the border guard units of the southern military region in Wadi Araba while inspecting posts on the border front.

The source explained that the sudden torrential rains swept away the vehicle and inside it was the official and driver of the vehicle, indicating that the search, inspection and rescue groups from the southern military region backed by planes from the Royal Air Force and groups from the civil defense were unable to reach the location of the vehicle, due to the difficulty of the terrain and the abundance of rain, as they combed the area.
