Hundreds of worshipers and stationed, with their will and steadfastness, succeeded in imposing i’tikaf inside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Qibli prayer hall, despite the Israeli occupation’s nose and its attempts to evict them from it.
During the last two days, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a cautious calm, after it was subjected in the past days to an Israeli attack and brutal attacks targeting worshipers and seclusions inside the Al-Qibli prayer hall, with rubber bullets and sound and gas bombs, which led to injuries, hundreds of arrests, and severe damage to the contents of the chapel and the Al-Aqsa clinic.
Despite the occupation’s threats to forcibly evict those in i’tikaaf, the i’tikaaf continued inside the al-Qibli prayer hall and in the Al-Aqsa squares for the second night, due to the deterrent force imposed by the equation of resistance and the unity of the squares, in support of Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem.
Journalist Yasser Al-Za’atrah said, “The stationers of Al-Aqsa Mosque imposed their I’tikaf and their presence despite the invaders, who enter with heavy security from the occupation police on the 4th day of the “Hebrew Easter.”
Al-Zaatara added in his tweet via Twitter, “A clear equation. The owners of the place have no doubt that it is theirs, and they will purify what is around it. As for the invaders, they enter and leave in panic. Here the title of the conflict and its conclusion are known.
The attacks of the occupation and its use of excessive force in suppressing those in retreat last Wednesday and Thursday provoked widespread angry Palestinian, Arab and international reactions, prompting the resistance in the Gaza Strip to launch about 25 rockets at the nearby settlements.
The matter did not stop at the Gaza border, but the occupation was subjected to missile barrages from southern Lebanon towards the settlements in northern occupied Palestine in 1948, and also from the Syrian lands towards settlements in the occupied Golan.
This was a shock to the occupation security services, which have always worked to separate the arenas of conflict with them, in an attempt to single out one of them without the other.
What does storming Al-Aqsa mean in the last ten days of Ramadan?
The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque was never stormed during the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan, for fear of the large numbers of seclusion and worshipers, and to avoid their reaction, which was evident in previous years, when the Israeli occupation police tried to impose the storming on those blessed nights.
In a dangerous precedent for the first time in years, the occupation authorities allowed, on Tuesday, settlers to continue their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, amid Palestinian calls to continue seclusion and religious rituals inside the mosque.
The Prime Minister of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, has not decided whether or not to prevent the incursions during the past ten years, and he is still continuing his consultations with the leaders of the security services, the police, and ministers in his government on that matter.
The positions of the Israeli security services varied in this regard, as some of them expressed a position against allowing settlers to storm Al-Aqsa today, while some supported this position, before presenting a unified position allowing them today only, provided that the raids stop tomorrow, Wednesday, until the end of Ramadan.
And the researcher in Jerusalem affairs, Ziyad Abhis, explained, What does storming Al-Aqsa mean in the last ten days of Ramadan??.
Abhis said, “Al-Aqsa Mosque used to be closed to settler incursions during the last ten days of Ramadan, but today the occupation police wanted to allow the intruders to say that there is a partnership between Muslims and Jews in Al-Aqsa, and that this place is sacred to the Jews.”
