Jerash Tourism Director Firas Al-Khattbeh said, in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), today, Sunday, that the city witnessed an active tourist movement by various foreign and local nationalities, indicating that there is an increase in the number of tourists by an increase of 100 percent, compared to previous years, as it reached The percentage of visitors in the past year was 44 percent.

And he indicated that the Directorate is constantly striving to improve the services provided to visitors, in addition to intensifying inspection tours of tourist facilities in cooperation with the Public Safety Committee in the governorate, to ensure the quality of tourism services.

He explained that the Directorate is keen to implement the plans it has set in order to prolong the stay of tourists, stimulate tourism and increase the number of visitors, which will reflect positively on the economic sector, especially since the city is known for the availability of the craft market and a number of places frequented by tourists locally and internationally.
