Jordan’s population increased by the end of 2022 to 11 million and 302 thousand people, according to the annual statistical book issued by the Department of Statistics.

According to figures from the book issued by the Department of Statistics, the annual increase amounted to 245 thousand people, compared to the year 2021, at the end of which the Kingdom’s population was estimated at about 11 million and 57 thousand people.

According to the tables, the number of males estimated at 5 million 984 thousand people exceeded the number of females estimated at 5 million 318 thousand.

With regard to the most age groups, the age group from 5-9 years constituted the largest percentage of the total population, reaching 12.3% of the total population, followed by the age group from 0-4 years, which amounted to 11.5%, and the age group 10-14 years came in third place, which It registered 10.6% of the total population, while the age group 60-64 recorded the lowest population percentage, reaching 1.8% of the total population.
