Al Bawsala – Today, the Ministry of Health began administering the boosted dose of the bivalent vaccine produced by Pfizer BioNTech under the name Bivilent in the Ministry’s vaccination centers in all governorates of the Kingdom.
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care and Epidemiology, Dr. Raed Al-Shboul, announced the arrival of 100,000 doses of the Bivilant Pfizer Bionic vaccine, which is given as a fortified dose of one dose to those who previously received two doses of any of the Corona vaccines, provided that the last dose they received was at least six months ago. .
Al-Shboul indicated that the Ministry of Health received a shipment of vaccines as a donation from the French government to contribute to the national campaign to vaccinate against Corona, in which the vaccination rate in Jordan reached about 75% of the target group.
And Al-Shboul indicated that the World Health Organization recently recommended the need to take the fortified dose of the vaccinated as a high priority for the elderly and young people who suffer from chronic diseases, people with weak immune diseases and health personnel working on the front lines.
Al-Shboul explained that those who wish to take the subsidized dose can go to one of the vaccination centers affiliated with the Ministry, which is continuously announced on the Ministry’s pages on social media.
