The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority – Internal Control Unit said that it carried out a security campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate and the Gendarmerie Forces, and in coordination with the security coordinator at the Ministry, the Aqaba Water Company and the technical cadres in the Directorate of Occupations and Water Basins. Maan and major attacks to supply farms and ponds in Manja and Umm Al-Amad, south of Amman.

In detail, the Water Authority indicated that, as part of the continuous efforts to control the attacks on water sources in all regions of the Kingdom, the staff of the Water Authority – the Internal Control Unit, in cooperation with the Aqaba Company and with the support of the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate, the Gendarmerie Forces, and the Southern Badia Police Directorate, removed these attacks, represented by a violating excavator. A violating well was dug in the Al-Jafr area, the rig was confiscated and impounded by the Directorate of Central Concerns, and 3 major assaults were removed by pulling large water lines to supply farms and filling agricultural ponds, where the assaults were removed and seizures related to the incident were prepared. The Ministry / Water Authority praised the permanent cooperation of citizens and all parties for the success of their efforts, stressing that attacking any of the water sources is a crime.
