The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate, Colonel Amer Al-Sartawi, said, on Saturday, that the workers in the Anti-Narcotics Department are continuing and vigorously in their specific operations to pursue all forms of dealing with narcotic substances, including trafficking, smuggling, promotion and abuse.

Al-Sartawi confirmed in a press statement that during the past month, from March 1, 2023 until March 31, 2023, 524 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances were dealt with, during which 931 dealers and promoters of these substances were arrested, including people classified as dangerous, and they were referred. All to the Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court.

The media spokesman stated that during these cases (133) kg of hashish, (half a million) pills of narcotic Captagon, (40) thousand pills of narcotic pills, (3.5 kg) of narcotic crystal and (400 grams) of narcotic crystal were seized. Narcotic industrial cannabis, (300 grams) of cocaine, a set of marijuana seedlings and a set of firearms.

At the awareness level, the Drug Enforcement Administration implemented, through the awareness axis, 829 educational activities for the month of March, which included a number of courses, lectures, workshops and seminars in partnership with academic and media agencies and relevant partners.

In the same context, the number of admissions to the drug control center of the Drug Enforcement Administration for the month of March reached 65 cases, between admissions and references.

The media spokesman stressed that anti-drug operations and security campaigns are continuing in all regions of the Kingdom firmly and without complacency in pursuing and blocking the way for anyone who tries to deal with narcotic substances, including abuse, promotion and trafficking, and harnesses all operational and logistical capabilities for that.
