The preliminary results of the quarterly estimates of gross domestic product at constant market prices for the fourth quarter of 2022 showed a growth of 2.0% compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, and a growth of 2.5% in 2022 compared to 2021, according to the Department of Statistics report.

According to the report, preliminary estimates showed that the economic sectors achieved growth during the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, as the agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing sectors achieved the highest growth rate during this period, amounting to 4.8%, contributing 0.28 percentage points to the growth rate. checker.

This was followed by the construction sector by 3.2%, contributing by 0.10 percentage points, then the manufacturing industries sector by 2.7% and contributing by 0.50 percentage points, then the wholesale and retail trade, hotels and restaurants sector by 2.6% and contributing by 0.21 percentage points to the achieved growth rate.
