Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the start of work within the medium emergency plan, coinciding with the expected weather conditions affecting the Kingdom, according to information received from the Meteorological Department.

The ministry confirmed, in a press statement, its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and to address the observations received 24 hours a day through its 106 teams distributed in the various governorates of the Kingdom.

She added that, at the behest of the Minister of Public Works and Housing and the Minister of Transport, Maher Abu Al-Saman, a circular was made to its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom to fully prepare to face the expected weather conditions, to conduct periodic inspection tours of all regions, and to provide the Central Emergency Unit with periodic reports according to the rules, indicating that the directors of Directorates and offices working in the field to submit an emergency plan according to the need and developments in the weather.

The Ministry stressed the need for permanent and continuous coordination with the Ministry’s partners, to work on resolving and addressing various observations immediately to maintain the continuity of services provided to citizens, according to the followed government approach.

And she called on citizens to take caution and beware of the danger of low horizontal visibility in the desert areas due to dust and a low possibility in the evening and night hours of the formation of torrential rains in parts of the southern regions.
