The ninth judicial panel specialized in corruption crimes at the Amman Court of First Instance, headed by Judge Nasser Al-Salaheen and with the membership of Judge Fadi Musleh, decided to place a bookstore keeper in one of the Zarqa Education Directorates with temporary work for a period of five years, and oblige him to pay a sum of money exceeding 26 thousand dinars after being convicted of the crime of embezzlement by forgery.
And the court issued its decision, during a public session in the presence of the Public Prosecutor of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, Sufian Obaidat, and decided to convict a second warehouse keeper in the same directorate and put him in temporary work for a period of three months and fine him 500 dinars after amending the criminal description from the crime of embezzlement by forgery to job negligence and convicting him of it.
And the incriminating decision indicated that the first convict in the case works as a book storekeeper in one of the education directorates in Zarqa Governorate, and it was proven to the court that he forged documents issued for books that did not prove that they belong to schools in his directorate, and when he left his work site and received another storekeeper after him, they did not make an inventory of the books according to Legal assets and fixing the shortfall, so that the court would fine the first convict an amount of money amounting to 13,471 dinars and 550 fils, and also include the value of school books that were spent at a value of 12,971 dinars and 550 fils, so that the value of the amounts required to be paid to the state treasury amounted to 26,443 dinars And 100 fils, and to pay the administrative and judicial expenses that accompanied the case.
The decision will be subject to appeal before the competent court.
