Today, Sunday, the Jordanian satirical writer, Ahmed Hassan Al-Zoubi, appears again before the Public Prosecutor in Amman, based on a complaint against him (complaint of public right).
Al-Zoubi, who is the publisher of the Sawalif website, said in a tweet on his Twitter account: “The file was not closed and the public right did not withdraw its complaint. I was summoned again to appear before the Public Prosecutor of Amman, Dr. Thaer Nassar, tomorrow, Sunday 3/19/2023 Q9: 30.”
He said in a post on his Facebook page: “O good Jordanians, I have a need. If his mother is alive, let him ask her to pray for us and for the oppressed among the countrymen, as the prayers of mothers are not answered.”
He added: “I swear by God that the matter is not related to me personally, and I am not afraid of imprisonment and arrest, as long as it is for the sake of God and then the country and telling the truth, it is a great honor, but it is a journey between truth and falsehood.”
And he continued: “Ask them to pray, for we have nothing but the prayers of mothers, the kind, and the defeated.”
The defense team for the writer, Ahmed Hassan Al-Zoubi, revealed the details of his appearance session before the Public Prosecutor last Sunday.
The commission indicated that the Public Prosecutor decided to postpone listening to Al-Zoubi’s statement until further notice, and a request to stop him was issued.
Attorney Jamal Jeet announced the formation of the largest defense committee in Jordan for the writer Al-Zoubi, in which hundreds of knights lawyers participated.
According to a copy of the private agency, the number of lawyers who declared their intention to plead for Al-Zoubi writer exceeded 200 lawyers.
Thousands of Jordanians expressed it through the hashtag #Solidarity _ with _ Ahmed _ Hassan _ Al-ZoubiFor their categorical rejection of government policies that encroach on public freedoms and silence mouths under flimsy pretexts represented in the Cybercrime Law.
