The Ministry of Local Administration declared a state of moderate emergency in the Kingdom, starting this Saturday afternoon, and according to the developments of the depression.
The Ministry asked emergency rooms in municipalities and joint services councils in various governorates and brigades of the Kingdom to prepare to deal with the weather that affects the Kingdom.
The Ministry emphasized that the 122 emergency rooms in the municipalities and the main and joint service councils in Amman deal immediately with any emergency events that may accompany the weather condition, and inform the main emergency room in Amman of developments in a timely manner through the Ministry’s emergency system.
The Ministry, joint service councils and directorates of municipal affairs in various governorates and brigades directed the importance of inspecting and ensuring the readiness of mechanisms, equipment, emergency teams and sustaining supplies in emergency cases, in addition to following up the situation in hot areas, valleys, torrents, ferries and main roads early and continuously, and dealing with any accidents immediately.
The Ministry called on the municipalities, joint service councils, and directorates of municipal affairs in the various governorates and districts of the Kingdom to fully coordinate and cooperate with the administrative rulers, operations and other emergency rooms affiliated to the Ministry of Public Works, Interior, Civil Defense, the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Greater Amman Municipality, and others, and to provide them with the mechanisms, equipment, cadres, and capabilities available to them to help in Facing emergency cases and events that accompany the weather, announcing emergency room phone numbers to citizens in various media and on social networking sites, and repeating that to ensure constant communication with citizens.
The Ministry stressed on citizens who live near low areas, valley streams, torrential rains, ferries and hotspots known to be dangerous in the winter season, to stay away from these areas in order to preserve their lives and the lives of their families and families.
The Ministry also asked the municipalities to continue to inspect its emergency shelter centers, in anticipation of any emergency cases that its emergency rooms or other emergency rooms will deal with.
