The Municipality of Amman, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, is conducting a temporary modification of the existing traffic diversion route at the intersection of Martyr (Tariq) Street for the purposes of completing the infrastructure works for the rapid-frequency bus project at the site, starting from twelve o’clock tomorrow, Thursday (Friday dawn) until the morning of Friday next Sunday.

The Director of the Traffic Department, Eng. Muhammad Jadoua, stated that the temporary traffic amendment includes closing the existing roundabout on Al-Shaheed Street, so that the traffic coming from Tariq Station turns to the right through Muhammad Diaa Al-Haq Street, then turns left through the existing roundabout to reach Thuwaiba Street (the current route of the main diversion) and shares with it The traffic coming from Ain Ghazal traffic lights via Muhammad Zia Al-Haq Street and heading towards Tariq area.

He added, “With regard to the traffic coming from Zarqa, it will continue forward through Kalthoum Bin Al-Hadam Street, then left towards Saud Adhim Street to reach Al-Shaheed Street, with the possibility of the other option to turn right through Khalaf Esaidat Street, then left to Al-Hajj Street, until the traffic light located at the intersection of Al-Hajj Street with Tariq Street, then left to Sports City and Northern Hashmi.

The Greater Amman Municipality, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, will secure the detour path with the necessary guiding signs and means of traffic safety.
