Al-Bawsala – An Israeli political official told the Hebrew Channel 12 that the emergency Aqaba conference will be held to examine the ability of the Palestinian Authority to assume its responsibility in the places it is absent from, such as Jenin, stressing that there is no possibility to stop the incursions into Palestinian cities.

The Hebrew channel added that the authority will demand the entry of weapons to its forces in the West Bank, as part of efforts to calm tensions before Ramadan, noting that Majid Faraj, Hussein al-Sheikh and Majdi al-Khalidi will participate in the summit tomorrow from the Palestinian side.

Barbara Leaf, US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, and officials from Jordan and Egypt.

The “Aqaba Summit” comes at a time when the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem are witnessing an escalation of Palestinian resistance in the face of the occupation, which did not continue to commit daily massacres and crimes against our people, which resulted in the death of 62 citizens, including women and children, since the beginning of this year.

And the Hebrew channel “Reshet Kan” stated that this summit will discuss the attempt to stop the escalation, and the escalating state of resistance in the occupied Palestinian territories before and during the blessed month of Ramadan in particular, explaining that its goal is to influence the Palestinian position of the authority, and to present temptations and a practical plan for them, and convince them that there is an opportunity to change.

The Palestinian affairs correspondent for the Hebrew Channel 14 (Baruch Yedid) had revealed the existence of an American plan to enhance security coordination between the “Israeli” occupation army and the Palestinian Authority and to restore control over the northern occupied West Bank.

Yedid stated that the plan is supervised by the US security coordinator, General (Mike Benzel), and it includes several chapters, including: “the presence of high-level US officials during joint meetings between the “Israelis” and officials in the Authority, and sending regular reports to the US on common security issues between “ Israel and the Authority, and the training of large forces from the Preventive Security Service, with American and Israeli follow-up.

He added, “As part of the efforts exerted to restore the Palestinian Authority’s control over Jenin and Nablus, 5,000 personnel working in the Palestinian Authority’s security forces will be trained at training bases in Jordanian territory, and they will undergo a special training program under American supervision.”

According to the sources, this plan was approved by Jordan, and upon completion of the training, these forces will operate inside Jenin and Nablus in order to eliminate the armed resistance being carried out by various armed groups there.

The activities of the authority forces in the northern West Bank will also be monitored by American representatives, and the army will reduce its activity in these areas when the authority forces enter there to avoid any damage. According to the same sources.

The Hebrew channel correspondent revealed that the activities of the Palestinian Authority forces, which were trained in areas of friction between settlers and Palestinians in the West Bank, will be intensified, and that US and Western officials will participate in security coordination.
