On Saturday morning, the Eastern Military Region thwarted, on one of its fronts within its area of ​​responsibility, an attempt to smuggle weapons and hand grenades, using a drone coming from Syrian territory.

An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army said: “The Border Guard forces, through the drone detection team, detected an attempt to illegally cross the borders with a “drone” from Syrian territory to Jordanian territory, and it was shot down. Inside Jordanian territory”.

The source indicated that after intensifying the search and inspection of the area, (1) M4 rifle and (4) hand grenades were found. and transfer the seized items to the competent authorities.

The source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to deal with all force and firmness, with any threat on the border fronts, and any endeavors intended to undermine and destabilize the security of the homeland and intimidate its citizens.
