An artist since her childhood

I practiced fine art for many years, and displayed my drawings in the largest exhibition halls in the Zamalek district, the Opera House, and the Library of Alexandria. After a while, I decided to integrate fine art with a more consumerist thought, with the aim of seeking to spread it on the largest level in more than one way and place, and contribute to spreading the culture of acquiring works of art at reasonable prices, and I saw This will help improve public taste, establish our Egyptian identity, and distance ourselves from other identities that we have been influenced by recently.

I started with the Dokan Zaman project, and it really had a positive impact on achieving my goal of spreading the features of our Egyptian heritage on the products that I implement, especially since many foreigners in Egypt helped me spread my work by acquiring them, and this helped me to address foreign markets and introduce them to the features of our ancient and multiple heritage.

Iman continued, “I work on a variety of materials, such as natural leather, cloth, mugs, and porcelain plates, and of course the different colors, making sure that they are fixed and using a fixative in simple cases.”

Iman says that she is affected by the beauty of the southern heritage and wants to inculcate it in the minds, whether it is Nubian, Egyptian or African, because it is rich in cheerful colors and motifs “decorations” from which she easily draws attractive ideas for her artwork. She also takes inspiration from folk art, many elements, as well as Islamic art such as Sufi poetry, and she added, “I make painted natural leather accessories, and make mugs painted in cheerful colors, bags and shoes, and home decorations such as pillows printed on them with drawings that I drew with my own hands, and the price of these products starts from about 90 to 500 pounds.”
