Former Minister Bassam Al-Amoush called on the Arab peoples to unite and unite to stand up to the occupation, which is now targeting the killing of innocent and defenseless people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and everywhere it controls.

He added, “Hence, any meeting that takes place will not be successful, whether it is the Negev Forum or others, especially since it is associated with Zionist criminality towards the Palestinian people, the continuation of settlements and the desecration of sanctities.”

Al-Amoush stressed his call to the Jordanian government on the need to understand the equation, saying, “Perhaps we in Jordan understand this equation well, and whatever the pressure, they will not succeed. Rather, even America, which is the guarantor of the existence of the Zionist entity, confirms that it is with the two-state solution, and here is Britain, which stole Palestine and gave it to the Zionists, commenting on The killing practiced by the occupier, although we do not accept his suspension in any way.

He declared support for any Jordanian position rejecting the occupation and normalization, saying, “I am stronger in the hands of my country in denouncing the Zionist encroachment and bloodshed, and its refusal to desecrate the sanctities, and there must be more popular and official cohesion in this issue.”

It is noteworthy that Jordan is under tremendous American pressure to participate in the Negev Forum, which brings together the occupying state with the Arab countries that have established political and diplomatic relations with it.

Jordan had refused to participate in the first Negev Forum, which was held last year, but media sources confirmed that Amman was under pressure described as “enormous” to participate in the second forum.

Earlier, Ibri reported that the Palestinian Authority had threatened to boycott a security summit to be held in the Jordanian city of Aqaba next Sunday, following the occupation army’s operation in the city of Nablus in the West Bank, which led to the death of 11 Palestinians.

The Hebrew “Wala” website said, on Thursday, that “the security summit is supposed to be held with the participation of officials from the Palestinian Authority, America, Israel, Jordan and Egypt,” noting that the meeting may be canceled due to the Nablus military operation.

And he pointed out that “it is scheduled to participate in the summit, US President Joe Biden’s chief advisor for Middle East affairs, Brett McGurk, and US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, Barbara Leaf.”

Informed sources confirmed, according to the site, that “the Palestinian Authority accuses Israel of violating the understandings reached recently to calm tensions, and demands guarantees to stop unilateral measures as a condition for participating in the summit.”

He pointed out that “the security summit in Aqaba aims to continue and consolidate the understandings reached between Israel and the Palestinian Authority a few days ago, within the framework of a move to postpone the vote in the UN Security Council on a resolution condemning settlement construction in the West Bank.”

He added, “According to the understandings between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, the latter must reduce the number of its army’s operations in the cities of the West Bank,” which makes the Nablus military operation a violation of the understandings between the two sides.
