Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Youssef Chemali met on Friday with Moroccan Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Competencies Younes Skoury and his accompanying delegation.

The two ministers discussed, according to a statement by the Ministry of Industry, “the frameworks and prospects for joint cooperation to benefit from the experiences of both brotherly countries in the field of work and vocational training.”

During the meeting, Al-Shamali, who is also the Minister of Labor, praised “the support of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, represented by providing a grant to establish and equip a specialized center for vocational training in the capital, Amman.”

The two ministers, accompanied by the Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Ahmed Gharaibeh, visited the 11-dunum site allocated to the Vocational Training Corporation on the airport road to establish this specialized training center, which will be fully funded by the grant of the Moroccan monarch to Jordan.

According to the statement, “This institute will be a distinguished center for building and developing the vocational and technical skills of Jordanian youth, as the focus will be on training them in specializations required in the labor market, including specializations in car maintenance (smart, hybrid, and auto mechanics), medical equipment formulation, and specialized professions in the hotel and tourism sector.” In addition to the maintenance of electronic devices.
