Completion of the “Pepsi Pool” and the “Environmental Garden” before the end of the year

Today, Thursday, Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh began a series of field inspection tours to government service institutions and development projects covering all governorates of the Kingdom, in implementation of the royal directives to intensify field work and serve citizens.
Al-Khasawneh began his field trips with a visit to Zarqa Governorate, during which he was briefed on the progress of work in the two projects of the environmental park and the rehabilitation of the “Pepsi Pool” site, and he inspected Prince Faisal Governmental Hospital.
During his tour of the site of the environmental park (one of the projects of the Royal High Initiatives), the Prime Minister directed the necessity of expediting the completion of the project and opening it as an outlet for the people of Zarqa Governorate and the surrounding areas.
He also directed the need to ensure the readiness of the facilities and the provision of all services to the park’s visitors before operating it, such as parking lots, transportation services, and public safety means, especially in children’s play areas, health facilities, and others.
The Prime Minister listened to a briefing from those in charge of the project about the progress of work in it and the readiness of its facilities, and they confirmed that the completion rate in it reached approximately (96%).
The environmental park project is being built on a plot of land of approximately 74 dunums, as part of the “Phosphate Hills Rehabilitation” project, at a total cost of 2.5 million Jordanian dinars.
The project was designed as a healthy and vital environmental area. To be a natural outlet for the residents of the area, and includes a park, outdoor sessions, children’s play areas, sports fields, an outdoor theater, and places designated for walking, and provides its visitors with the necessary services such as health units and service facilities.
The project is surrounded by green areas and agricultural basins, and includes plants and trees with scarce water that can withstand the dry climate.
During his inspection of the project to rehabilitate the “Barakat Pepsi” site, Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh stressed the need to complete the project before the end of this year. To address the existing environmental situation once and for all, and in accordance with the best environmental standards and specifications.
The Prime Minister listened to a briefing from the Mayor of Amman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, on the progress of work on the project, as Al-Shawarbeh confirmed that it will be completed during November of this year.
The Prime Minister also listened to an explanation from the cadres working in the project about the mechanism that is being worked on to radically address the environmental problem that has existed for decades.
During his inspection visit to Prince Faisal Governmental Hospital, the Prime Minister stressed the need to provide the best treatment and health services to citizens, and to provide all requirements to operate the hospital at its maximum capacity.
The Prime Minister toured the hospital’s departments and listened to the patients’ observations about the reality of the services provided to them.
He also listened to a briefing by the director of the hospital, Dr. Ghazi Sharkas, on the reality of the treatment and health services provided by the hospital, and highlighted the needs necessary to improve the level of services provided to citizens.
The annual number of visitors to Prince Faisal Governmental Hospital in Zarqa Governorate is estimated at (450) thousand patients, and the number of its beds is (169), with a current occupancy rate of (84%). While the number of specialized doctors is (71) doctors, and the number of nursing and administrative cadres is (570) employees.
The Prime Minister was accompanied during his field tours in Zarqa Governorate by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Krishan, Minister of Health Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, Minister of Environment Dr. Muawiya Al-Radaydah, and Mayor of Amman Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh. Favorite
