King Abdullah II received, on Wednesday, the President of the Canadian Senate, George Fury.

The King expressed his pride in the historical friendship between Jordan and Canada.

He stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation between the two countries on issues of common concern, and keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation in various fields.

During the meeting, they discussed the overall challenges and crises in the region, and the efforts exerted to reach political solutions to them, in addition to the regional and international efforts in the war on terrorism, within a comprehensive strategy.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, and the director of the King’s Office, Jaafar Hassan.
