Today, Sunday, the Minister of Public Works and Housing, and the Minister of Transport, Eng. Maher Abu Al-Saman, instructed those concerned to complete the works of the Al-Irsal intersection project in Mqablain, according to the highest engineering standards, and to officially open it to vehicle traffic within a maximum period of 3 weeks, according to a ministry statement.

During an inspection tour, Abu Al-Saman confirmed that the purpose of establishing the project is to raise the level of services provided at the intersection and solve the problem of traffic congestion in the area, pointing out that work is underway in coordination with the relevant authorities on a study to reduce congestion on the roads within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Works, which will reflect positively on the services and contribute to the promotion of a safe traffic environment.

And I listened to a detailed briefing about the progress of the works in the project, where the completion rate of the project reached about 99 percent, while two bridges of the project were opened to traffic recently, while work is underway to connect the tunnel exit with Freedom Road in one direction only, and the lighting works for the tunnel within the project .

The works in the project included the construction of a four-level intersection consisting of a 650-meter concrete bridge for traffic coming from Amman towards Airport Street and the Dead Sea on Al-Quds Street in both directions, a 476-meter concrete bridge for traffic coming from Al-Hurriya Street towards the Airport Road, and a 130-meter tunnel in four lanes and in both directions. Two directions, main roads, concrete walls supporting the underpass, and the rehabilitation of the surrounding roads completely, in addition to the construction of sidewalks, rainwater drainage systems, lighting works, and public safety according to the highest international standards.
