On Saturday, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing will inaugurate the second main bridge within the 476-meter-long Al-Irsal Intersection project, for the traffic coming from Muqabilin / Al-Hurriya Street towards Airport Road and Naour.

The ministry said in a press statement, “The existing main dispatch divert will be closed to complete the linking area on Al-Hurriya Street. The bridge, which was previously opened, passing through the Military Retirement Institution and the Amman Training College road as a main option, or taking the road adjacent to the Public Security Directorate towards the University of Petra as an alternative option, and as for the traffic coming from the Airport Road and Naour Bridge and back, it will be through the service roads of the main bridge that was previously opened Through the detour to return to Al-Quds Street in the other direction.”

The ministry indicated that the completion rate of the project has reached 99%, and the final works on the project will be completed and officially opened in the near future.

She pointed out that “the works in the project included the construction of a 4-level intersection consisting of a concrete bridge with a length of 650 meters for the traffic coming from Amman towards the Airport Street and the Dead Sea on Al-Quds Street in both directions, and a concrete bridge with a length of 476 meters for the traffic coming from Al-Hurriya Street towards the Airport Road and a tunnel with a length of 130 meters.” Within 4 lanes, in both directions, main roads, concrete walls supporting the underpass, and the complete rehabilitation of the surrounding roads.

In addition to the construction of sidewalks, rainwater drainage systems, lighting works and all public safety works in accordance with the highest international standards.

It called on citizens walking the road to abide by the instructions of its cadres working in the field and the instructions of the partners in the Public Security Directorate.
