The arrival of the first land aid convoys to Syria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs announced that, in coordination with the Hashemite Charitable Organization, the first land aid convoys consisting of seven trucks loaded with food, relief and medical supplies arrived at dawn today to the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, through the reciprocal transport system.

It was delivered to the Syrian side, by loading it on trucks belonging to the Syrian Red Crescent at the Jordanian-Syrian border center (Jaber-Naseeb), to deliver it to the affected areas in Syria.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sinan Al-Majali, stated that, and in implementation of the royal directives, the Kingdom continues to assist the families of the victims and those injured as a result of the earthquakes that struck the Syrian Arab Republic and the sister Republic of Turkey.

The Jordanian consul in Damascus, Anwar Badawi, said in a media statement reported by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA): “The convoy consists of seven trucks carrying foodstuffs, medical supplies, and shelter equipment for those affected by the earthquake,” offering his condolences to the families of the victims and wishing the injured a speedy recovery. ,

Beddawi pointed out that Jordan’s leadership, government and people are in solidarity with the brothers in Syria with their painful affliction.
