The Jordanian Seismological Observatory of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded this evening, Sunday, an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, 35 km northwest of Latakia on the Syrian coast.

The head of the observatory, Eng. Ghassan Sweidan, said that the earthquake recorded at 7:13 pm Amman time occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, and it is 430 kilometers away from Amman.
