Minister of Industry, Trade, Supply and Labor Yousef Al-Shamali expected the issuance of the decision related to the minimum wage in Jordan next Thursday.

Al-Shamali said, during the parliamentary work committee’s discussion of a draft law amending the Social Security Law for the year 2022, that the decision will serve the public interest.

He added that the tripartite Labor Affairs Committee, made up of unions, the heads of the Chamber of Industry and Chamber of Commerce, and the Ministry of Labor, is the decision-maker in taking the decision to raise the minimum wage.
