The challenge of the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, on Wednesday morning, Jordan, confirming his intention to continue storming the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“With all due respect to Jordan, Israel is an independent state. I stormed the Temple Mount and I will continue to storm it,” Ben Gvir said in radio statements, according to a translation by Safa Agency.

The extremist minister stated that “Israel is an independent state and has no tutelage from any other country.”

Ben Gvir’s remarks came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman.

The official Hebrew channel (Kan) commented, saying that Netanyahu’s visit to Jordan comes after the tension resulting from the ban on the Jordanian ambassador from visiting Al-Aqsa Mosque, last week.

And last Tuesday, the Israeli police prevented the Jordanian ambassador to Tel Aviv, Ghassan Al-Majali, from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque for 3 hours, before allowing him to enter.

As a result, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry summoned Tel Aviv’s ambassador to the Kingdom, Eitan Surkis, in which it informed him of a “strongly worded message of protest to be conveyed immediately to his government, and confirmed the Jordanian government’s condemnation of all measures aimed at unacceptable interference in the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

The official relations between Jordan and the occupation are witnessing tension from time to time due to what the Jordanian Foreign Ministry calls “Israel’s attempts to change the status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque,” ​​and the latter’s attempts to annex the West Bank and strengthen settlements there, and King Abdullah II always stresses the need to preserve the historical status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque since 1967, as the mosque is subject to the Hashemite guardianship and administration.

On January 3, the extremist minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the strict protection of the occupation police.
