The Jordan Chamber of Industry agreed with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce to hold a joint exhibition in both countries, aiming to achieve complementarity in industrial production and display products in the local markets.

The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, confirmed in a statement to the chamber today, Monday, that Jordan offers great opportunities for investment and economic integration between the two countries, in light of the approval of the new investment environment law, and the presence of several common border outlets, which are considered a major factor in expanding intra-trade.

He called for the need to support the idea of launching commercial-industrial integration and investment coalitions between the private sectors in both countries, pointing out that the Jordanian delegation’s current visit to Saudi Arabia comes as a continuation of the successful visit of a Jordanian industrial delegation last year.

He said that the rapid development that Saudi Arabia is witnessing in various fields and in record time confirms that Saudi Arabia is on the right path to achieving Vision 2030 launched by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, referring to the distinguished fraternal relations that unite both countries and the keenness of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for strengthening it.

He pointed to the importance of the Saudi government establishing the Public Investment Fund, which aims to invest in a number of countries, including Jordan, as the fund aims to invest in infrastructure, mining, health care, food, agriculture, manufacturing and other strategic sectors.

In turn, the head of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, Khalaf Al-Otaibi, said that the meeting is of great importance, as it reviews the industrial production opportunities between the two countries, stressing the need to expand the scope of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in a way that reflects positively on the local markets in terms of product quality and efficiency.

He also stressed the importance of continuing the meetings to highlight the investment opportunities available between the two brotherly countries in a large way.

Bilateral meetings were held between the Jordanian delegation and Saudi businessmen and industrialists, on the sidelines of the talks, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides.
