A royal will was issued approving a law amending the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Law.

The draft law amending the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Law came, according to its positive reasons, to oblige foreign companies to register with the Companies Control Department before registering with the authority, and to cancel the reference to the social services tax in line with the abolition of its law, and for the tax system in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority to comply with the standards and rules international tax.
