The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds welcomed the international campaign launched by the Palestine Committee in the House of Representatives to support the Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The League affirmed that it is with all its capabilities, members and relations in the parliaments of the world, ready to coordinate and cooperate with the Palestine Parliamentary Committee, to make the campaign a success and to intensify efforts to serve the Palestinian cause.

The League called for addressing parliaments and international institutions to address the occupation’s violations of international laws and covenants, and its flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions, including Security Council resolutions, all of which stress the need to preserve the status of the Holy City.

The League also stressed the need to confront the new extremist plans of the occupation government towards the city of Jerusalem and the Palestinian people, and its attempts to impose the Judaization agenda on Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially since the steps announced by the occupation represent a dangerous development to change the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem.
