Al Bawsala – Today, Wednesday, the UN Security Council will hold a quarterly session to discuss the Palestinian issue, especially Resolution No. 2334, which was issued in 2016 regarding Israeli settlements in Palestine.
Members will hear a briefing from the UN Special Coordinator, Tor Winnisland, who reviews settlement activity and Israeli violence against civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory as well as the two-state solution.
Since the issuance of International Resolution 2334, none of its provisions have been implemented, although they stipulate that these settlement activities must be halted.
In addition, the United Nations media spokesman, Farhan Al-Haq, said that the Special Coordinator will brief members of the Security Council on the situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and we expect this briefing to provide relevant details about the losses that occurred in recent weeks.
