The Foreign Ministry denounces the occupation’s prevention of the Jordanian ambassador from entering the Al-Aqsa courtyards

The Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee expressed its strong condemnation and condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces’ prevention of the Jordanian ambassador to Tel Aviv, Ghassan Al-Majali, from touring the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif.
In a press statement today, Tuesday, the committee considered this behavior a violation of international laws and legislation and an undermining of Jordanian efforts for a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4 borders.
The Committee affirmed its condemnation of all unacceptable Israeli interference in the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif.
The committee stressed that attacking the person of the Jordanian ambassador and preventing him from moving is considered an attack on all Jordanians and their rights, noting the need to stop these violations.
The committee called on the government to reconsider all agreements and treaties between the Kingdom and the Israeli entity as a result of this irresponsible behavior, the repeated attacks on the Palestinian brothers, and the entity’s attempt to change the status quo in Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
The committee noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s assumption of leadership of the Israeli government would undermine efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace and establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, calling on the international community and human rights organizations to stop the Israeli attacks.
The committee stated that the Department of Endowments of Jerusalem and the Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque affiliated to the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites is the legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage all the affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / and regulate entry to it.
