Al-Safadi informs representatives of the private sector about the results of his visit to Iraq

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Safadi, stressed the need to raise the level of coordination between the government, the House of Representatives and the private sector, stressing that all are partners in the success of the file of partnership and cooperation with brotherly Iraq, and the tripartite also with brotherly Egypt.

Al-Safadi’s speech came during his meeting in the House of Representatives, today, Tuesday, with the President of the Businessmen’s Association Hamdi Al-Tabbaa, the President of the Banks Association Bassem Al-Salem, the President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Fathi Al-Jaghbir, the President of the Contractors Syndicate Ayman Al-Khudari, the President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Khalil Haj Tawfiq, the President of the Vegetable Merchants and Exporters Syndicate and Fruits Saadi Abu Hammad.

At the outset of the meeting, which was attended by Representatives: Khair Abu Sa’ilik, Omar Al-Ayasra, Yazan Shdeifat, Omar Al-Naber and Dina Al-Bashir, Al-Safadi discussed the results of his visit and the parliamentary delegation to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the importance and role of the private sector in bilateral and tripartite projects with Egypt.

Al-Safadi called for the formation of a higher committee from the House of Representatives and the private sector to coordinate joint work and reach recommendations to be worked on with the government to overcome the difficulties facing the private sector in all its forms with regard to trade and economic exchange, and to promote investments between the three countries.

For their part, representatives of the private sector praised the visit of the parliamentary delegation headed by Parliament Speaker Ahmed Safadi to Iraq, considering it a distinguished visit that opened new horizons for work and mutual exchange, and would expand work fields and create new job opportunities for Jordanian youth and new Jordanian investments in Iraq.

They considered that the Iraqi side’s assurances that the implementation of the oil pipeline between Basra and Aqaba will begin soon, and the implementation of the economic zone project would open new horizons in the mutual Jordanian-Iraqi economic work for the benefit of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
