Remove more than 310 thousand videos in Jordan

The “Tik Tok” application for short video recordings announced, on Monday, talks with the government; With the aim of lifting the ban imposed on him, about a month after the Cybercrime Unit was accused of “not dealing with the misuse of the platform by its users, whether by glorifying and spreading acts of violence, calls for chaos, promoting videos from outside the Kingdom, and falsifying them to influence the feelings of citizens.”

“We have full faith that through our ongoing conversations with the government, we can reach a decision that would allow the TikTok platform to continue serving the millions of content makers in Jordan who have found a home for creative expression on our platform,” the app said in a statement.

The application revealed that “310,724 video clips were removed in Jordan, 86.6% of them … before receiving any views.”

He pointed out that millions in Jordan follow accounts and hashtags on “Tik Tok”.

He explained that “our work teams (Tik Tok) will continue to take appropriate measures against any content that violates the guidelines” stipulated by the “Tik Tok” system related to respect for communities, and stressed that “violating content in Jordan will be strictly and proactively removed.”
