The general observer of the Muslim Brotherhood, Eng. Abdul Hameed Al-Thunaibat, said that the battle of Mu’ta is for Muslims outside the Arabian Peninsula, and it was the first confrontation between Muslims and the Romans and the prelude to the conquest of the Levant.
Al-Thunaibat added, in a videotaped speech commemorating the Battle of Mu’tah, that one of the results of the Hudaybiyah Treaty was that the Messenger of God sent messages to the rulers and kings inviting them to Islam, and the subsequent crime of killing the Messenger of the Messenger of God at the hands of the ruler of Busra al-Ghassani, which is an unusual crime to kill the messengers, so this event was the direct reason for the invasion muta.
And he indicated that the most important messages from the Battle of Mu’tah are that the believer’s blood and dignity are precious, without which difficulties are made easy, and revenge for the blood of Muslims is an imposition of prestige for the nascent Muslim state.
Al-Thunaibat said that despite the fact that the state is still emerging and the number of Muslims is growing, the Messenger of God ordered the preparation of the expedition and ordered three of the best companions to handle it.
He pointed out that the Battle of Mu’tah made Jordan the gateway to the Islamic conquest, and the entire Jordanian soil was mixed with the blood and sacrifices of the Companions.
He explained that the Muslims’ jihad and their conquests aim to spread the word of monotheism and the call to Islam, and that is why the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, recommended his army, saying: “Invade in the name of God those who disbelieve in God for the sake of God, and do not kill a woman or a child or an elderly person or a worshiper, and do not cut down a tree ….”.
Al-Thunaibat asked about those who forget this prophetic commandment and try to link Islam and terrorism so that terrorism becomes a pretext that covers the war against Islam, as our religion is innocent of terrorism.
The general observer said that it was Islam that gave the Arabs pride and prestige. Before it, they were submissive followers from Abu Raghal and even the followers of the Romans and Persians to today’s agents who throw themselves into the arms of the Zionists, stressing that when an Arab abandons his religion, he abandons his Arabism, dignity and pride and becomes a humiliating agent.
He mentioned that Muslims fight their enemies with their faith and obedience to their Lord, not with their numbers. The few won at Badr and the many were defeated at Hunayn.
Al-Thunaibat spoke about the position of the companion Abdullah bin Rawaha when he stood preaching to the Muslims in Ma’an when they stopped consulting about informing the Messenger of God of the large number of the Romans.
And he reviewed the scene of the conquest of Jerusalem, when the leader of the Muslims said, “We are a people whom God has honored us with Islam. If we seek glory other than Islam, God will humiliate us.”
And he stressed the importance of preparing and planning for the religion of God is a duty for Muslims in general and for preachers in particular, and this Khaled plans to withdraw with the army until he won the praise of the Messenger of God, and therefore even before the battle, the Messenger of God appointed 3 commanders to ensure alternative plans.
The general observer said that the battle of Mu’tah gives us important lessons that are commensurate with our reality in light of the fact that some Arabs stand with the enemies, whether with the Byzantines at the time or with the Zionists now.
