He pointed out that “the timing of the Arab and Islamic nation is the Hijri time, but the Gregorian year is the administrative time that our countries follow, and at the end of the year 2022 we must say a word at the end of an administrative year and the beginning of the year after it, as we Muslims look at our lives with optimism because our Prophet prayed God bless him and grant him peace, we recommended that if the Hour comes and one of us has (a sapling) in his hand, he must plant it.”

Al-Shahruri said, “We are people of hope and aspiration to build, and if we are criticized, then our criticism of everything around us is positive and constructive criticism.”

And he continued by saying: Accordingly, I address the Islamic nation, and to the dear Jordanian people in particular, that God’s relief is near, but he is close to the benefactors, and therefore we must look at matters seriously first, and achieve the goal required of us, which is to please God Almighty in all our steps, in our eating and drinking, and in Our practice of politics, culture, and everything we have to be directed to God, hoping to be satisfied with us.

He continued, saying: Therefore, we resent a lot of reality, and we blame it a lot, so we blame politicians, opinion-makers, and intellectuals, but this is all a positive view of what we should all be.

He added, “The defaulters are all of us, the rulers and the ruled, and what is required of all of us, after the year 2022 AD has passed on the Jordanian people, heavy with high prices and material burdens, heavy with the heads of families bearing a responsibility that they could not carry out, and the debt is many, and the merchants fall and the owners of the money flee from investment.” in Jordan.

Al-Shahruri pointed out that all this opens our eyes to the need for change, and here I am addressing the decision-makers in my beloved country. We need to change the approach, not change the faces. Our approach must become reformist par excellence, without looking at who we would like to be in power. Responsibility, so our love does not make us deviate from the truth, and hatred as well, (so do not let the hatred of a people incite you not to do justice, do justice is closer to piety).

He is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock

And the professor of Islamic law said: I remind the decision-makers of the jurisprudential rule: (The disposal of the subjects depends on the interest) Thus the rule says, and the guardian is responsible before God Almighty, whatever his mandate, and the level at which his mandate is, is responsible to achieve in it the interest of those whom God has appointed over them, And if he was a controller in a company, or an employee in a capital secretariat, or a teacher in a classroom, “All of you are shepherds and all of you are responsible for his subjects.” (The Muslim is still in the bliss of hope, and in the bliss of looking into the future that it contains goodness, dignity and blessings.

“But all of this requires action: (Say: Do, for God will see your work, His Messenger, and the believers, and you will be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Witness, and He will inform you of what you used to do),” as he put it.

He continued by saying: The responsibility is not on the guardian alone, and it is not on society as a whole alone, because society consists of individuals, and the guardian follows the compass that the individuals who make up society walk on.

Accounting is a necessity

Al-Shahruri said: This is a call for all of us, for each one of us, our youth, our elderly, and our elders, for every individual in this nation, to look in his work sheet, what he presented during the year 2022, was he good or bad, and did his good deeds outweigh his bad deeds or his bad deeds outweighed his good deeds, and what He fell short in it and could avoid it in the year 2023 if God extended his time.

And he stressed that “a person among us must hold himself accountable every time he puts his head on his pillow on the last exhausting day of work.”

Al Shahrouri concluded his speech to:compassBy saying: Whoever does not hold himself to account, his reckoning will be difficult, and whoever holds himself to account, the blaming soul will wake him up tomorrow, God willing, with the intention of reforming and the intention of completing what was lacking and the intention of making amends for what was neglected. This is a very important matter, and if each one of us does not look at his daily newspaper, then the account will be heavy At that time, he will not be able to avoid what happened, and he will not be able to escape from the reckoning, and we ask God for wellness.
