Customs receives a virtual reality training device

The Jordanian Customs Department received a virtual reality training device, as a grant from the Korean Customs Cooperation Fund.

The agency aims to build capabilities and develop skills for customs cadres and keep abreast of developments by using the latest systems and modern technologies in the field of training through virtual reality, and raising the efficiency of customs work.

The Director General of the Department, Brigade of Customs, Eng. Jalal Al-Qudah, said that the Customs Department appreciates the support provided by the World Customs Organization and the Korean Customs Cooperation Fund, and their keenness to transfer the best practices and pioneering experiences in customs work to all customs administrations worldwide.

A delegation from the World Customs Organization, including the Director of the Capacity Building Directorate and the Director of the Korean Customs Cooperation Fund, reviewed the modus operandi of the device in the hall of the Regional Customs Training Center, in the presence of the Assistant Director General for Administrative and Financial Affairs and a number of customs managers and employees.

For his part, the Director of the Korean Customs Cooperation Fund, Asang Kim, expressed the Korean government’s commitment to providing various support programs to Jordanian customs in various areas of common interest, in a way that contributes to consolidating and strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
