The Director of the Meteorological Department, Raed Al-Khattab, said that the winter square begins next Thursday, which is the date of the winter solstice for this season.

Al-Khattab added that the climatic statistics for the quadrangular period, which are available in the climatic records of the Meteorological Department, indicate that the rainfall in the quadrangular period usually constitutes 30 percent of the total rainy season at the level of the Kingdom.

The Ras Munif region in Ajloun Governorate witnessed the highest rainfall during the 1991/1992 season, which amounted to 398.8 mm, achieving 69 percent of its general seasonal rain rate. the second 2022.

Al-Khattab explained that the totals of square rain last season 2021/2022 were around their general rates for the square period in the northern, southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, while they were higher than their average in the central regions, including the central Jordan Valley, with rates ranging from (11-33) percent, from the general average.
