The President of the Journalists Syndicate, colleague Rakan Al-Saaida, agreed with the Director General of the Media Authority, Bashir Al-Momani, to freeze any procedures related to its circular issued on “offensive content and content of unknown origin.”

The two sides also agreed, during a phone call made by the President of the Journalists Syndicate with the Director General of the Media Authority, to hold a meeting soon with the Council of the Syndicate to discuss the whole matter, amid an emphasis on the importance and necessity of preserving media freedom and not harming it, and to be accurate and objective in conveying news and information.
