The Forum of Jordanian Women Parliamentarians rejected Mira’s ill-fated novel, saying that the Ministry of Culture presented content that was not appropriate to the values ​​of the Jordanian people.

And he affirmed, in a press statement issued today, Wednesday, by its president, Representative Amal Al-Shaqran, that he stands by our faith, our religious values, and the honorable morals, chastity, and decency we were raised on that express our Jordanian identity.

Al-Shaqran stressed the need to find out the repercussions and circumstances of this incident, calling for holding all those who had a hand in this abuse accountable.

Al-Shaqran said, “We are a people with values ​​and our historical heritage derived from religious legitimacy. Our victorious Hashemite leadership is not only a political leadership, but rather a legacy of a belief and a religion to which millions of people belong.

She said, “We are a people who hold the values ​​of tolerance, freedom, justice, and realization of truth. There is no place among us for those who promote these poisonous ideas, whether through novels, stories, or films.”

Al-Shaqran added, “We respect culture, as our Arab library contains thousands of literature, including stories, novels, poetry, and literature that transcends the highest values ​​and respects its society, customs and traditions.”
