Mashuqa said in his question, a copy of which was received by Al-Bawsala: What are the reasons that prompted the government to issue a decision to grant a special preference for integrating gender into government procurement, contrary to the Jordanian constitution, which stipulates that Jordanians are equal before the law and guarantees equal opportunities on the basis of justice? .

He noted, “Doesn’t the government believe that the issuance of this decision will create a social imbalance in society, and thus negatively affect the family and social networks, and change the roles played by both males and females according to the biological and psychological differences between them?”

Interestingly, he wondered: Why does the government decide regulations and take decisions through which it indirectly interferes in the formation of departments of companies and private institutions, by imposing the presence of males and females in their management to give them preference and priority in submitting bids, and it is known that building and managing commercial and investment businesses is based on expertise, understanding and compatibility, and not gender differences. .
