The Land Transport Regulatory Authority activated the electronic payment service through the “eFAWATEERcom” application to serve drivers working to transport passengers using smart applications, and the transportation document system service for transporting goods.

The Director General of the Authority, Tareq Habashneh, said in a statement today, Thursday, that the activation of the service is part of the e-government program, which will enable customers with the Authority to pay with ease, indicating that the Authority is working to expand the scope of the electronic payment service to include all its services.

He added that work is underway to activate the electronic payment service for rental companies’ clients.

Habashneh indicated that the authority is working on automating 29 electronic services in the Passenger Transport Directorate and the Goods Transport Directorate in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, with the aim of reaching a paperless government that saves time and effort, and reduces transportation costs to request service from ministries and government institutions.
