The job classification committee holds a meeting to discuss job description issues

The head of the Job Description and Classification Committee, Head of the Civil Service Bureau, Sameh Al-Nasser, said today, Wednesday, that the process of reviewing and updating job description cards for jobs in the civil service is linked to the implementation of projects and initiatives of the road map for modernizing the public sector, especially with regard to the shift towards quantitative and objective evaluation of government jobs. Pointing out that it will make a quantum leap in the strategy of managing human resources in the public sector.

Al-Nasser added, during his chairmanship, today, Wednesday, of the meeting of the job description and classification committee formed under the provisions of Article 13 of the civil service system, that the Bureau is preparing to form a national team of experts and workers in the public sector, to implement a project to review and update job description cards for jobs in the civil service so that they are based Competencies, with a comprehensive review of the requirements and conditions for government jobs, specifically with regard to some of the conditions that must be met in light of the massive and rapid developments such as technical and technological developments, and the degree of mastery of the skills of using modern technologies and the transition to advanced information technology, in addition to the language abilities in both Arabic And English language, in line with the royal lofty aspirations and visions, and the government’s developmental efforts in the map of modernizing the public sector towards a possible and effective public sector capable of supporting development and reform efforts and achieving the well-being of citizens.

The committee discussed a set of issues and topics related to the instructions for describing and classifying jobs in the civil service in terms of studying and adding job titles in the Ministry of Health, the Civil Consumer Corporation, and the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority, and matters related to job descriptions for technical diploma specializations, and a project to prepare job descriptions.

During the meeting, the members of the committee were briefed on the proposed initial mechanism for the project of reviewing and updating job description cards, as its recommendations will be submitted to the Civil Service Council later for duly approved.

A job description and classification committee is formed, chaired by the President of the Civil Service Bureau, with the membership of: the President of the Commission for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and their Quality Assurance, the President of Al-Balqa Applied University, the Chairman of the Authority for the Development and Development of Professional and Technical Skills, the Secretary General of the Service Bureau, the Director General of the Institute for Public Administration, and the Director General The General Budget Department, Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Head of the National Center for Human Resources Development, and Director of the Institutional Performance and Policies Development Unit at the Prime Ministry.
