The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, said on Tuesday that the policy of diversifying natural gas supply sources and long-term natural gas supply agreements achieved savings in the first nine months of this year amounting to $1.2 billion, according to current supply contracts.

Kharabsheh added that the policy of diversifying natural gas supply sources and natural gas supply agreements formed a protection for the National Electric Power Company from the rise in global liquefied natural gas prices.
