The Speaker of Parliament receives the report of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission

Today, Tuesday, Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi received a copy of the annual report of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission for the year 2021.
Al-Safadi confirmed, upon receiving the report from the President of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, in his office in the House of Representatives, in the presence of members of the Commission’s Council.
He said that the Council looks with interest at the important role played by the authority and its efforts in fighting corruption, and it is the focus of everyone’s concern and hopes in confronting all forms of infringement on public money.
Al-Safadi stressed that the Commission’s work is in the path of development and modernization in the political, economic and administrative fields, which His Majesty King Abdullah II directed to the importance of proceeding with it as a national project that the Jordanian state is pursuing in its early second centenary.
For his part, Hegazy said that the commission is concerned with informing members of Parliament of the commission’s work mechanism and efforts, and is looking forward to an upcoming meeting with them.
He referred to the Commission’s role in raising awareness in the field of integrity, applying its standards and ensuring the rule of law, presenting the most prominent achievements of the Commission’s work and recommendations related to strengthening its role and developing its methods of work to preserve public money and address financial and administrative abuses.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalayleh, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Dr. Nassar Al-Haisah, and the Assistant to the Speaker, Deputy Dhiab Al-Masaeed.
